We’re inventing a revolutionary tactile user interface design language at Tanvas, and we need your help to make it happen.
We are looking for a talented and motivated interaction designer who is passionate about understanding and delivering
great user experiences and has an almost obsessive attention to detail. Your job will be to conceive, design, prototype, and
test unique haptically mediated interactions centered around Tanvas’ cutting edge surface haptic technology. You will work
closely with a fast-paced team of designers, marketers, and engineers to bring ideas to life and deliver them to customers.
Work across disciplines to conceive, prototype, and test highly interactive experiences which weave together graphical, audio, and haptic elements.
Participate in user research to test discoverability, usability, and perceived value of multisensory interfaces and experiences.
Develop and manage application specifications and assets for software engineers.
Work with business development and sales to define new customers needs.
Collaborate closely with all other business functions in an atmosphere that values open, spirited debate, learning, accountability, and a focus on company goals.
BS/MS in Design, UI/UX, HCI or equivalent
3+ years experience in UI, UX, IxD, or a closely related discipline
A solid interaction or experience design background with outstanding attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Self-motivation and the ability to run with a project without close supervision
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or other wireframing and prototyping tools
Programming proficiency with GUI frameworks such as Android, Electron and .NET
Familiarity with Java, C++, or C# is a plus
